Sailing Experience FAQs

Tickets are available for individual purchase, meaning your sailing experience may be shared with other guests depending on your group size. With a maximum capacity of only six passengers, we are able to preserve an intimate and relaxed atmosphere while ensuring each guest enjoys a personalized experience on the water.

For those seeking a fully private experience, we invite you to reserve the entire vessel by purchasing all six tickets. A private Tapas Sail offers the ultimate level of exclusivity, allowing you and your guests to enjoy the cuisine, conversation, and journey entirely at your own pace.

Immediately following your reservation, you will receive a detailed confirmation email outlining your itinerary, arrival information, driving directions, and complimentary parking details to ensure a seamless experience from the moment you book.

One day prior to your sail, a member of our team will personally reach out with a welcome call or message to answer any final questions and help you prepare for your time aboard.

 The majority of our experiences and voyages depart from Waterford Harbor Marina in Kemah, located approximately 45-minutes from Houston. Complimentary parking is available in the main marina parking lot for your convenience.

To ensure a seamless arrival, a member of our team will personally reach out one day prior to your experience to answer any final questions and assist with any details. Upon your arrival, the same team member will warmly welcome you at the main parking lot and escort you to the vessel.

We will meet in Gazebo A to the right of the restaurant & tennis courts. Guest parking is available under the trees. Do not park in the limited tenant parking spots along the water.

To preserve the integrity of our culinary experience and maintain the elevated service standards our guests expect, outside food and beverages are not permitted onboard. We appreciate your understanding as we create a seamless and memorable dining experience at sea.

As part of our personalized pre-boarding experience, a member of the Conception Sailing team will connect with you in advance to discuss any dietary considerations, allergies, or requested substitutions, ensuring your experience is thoughtfully tailored to your needs.

We are also proud to welcome guests who prefer alternative beverage options. Our curated onboard beverage program includes a selection of beautifully crafted mocktails, allowing every passenger to enjoy a refined and memorable experience.

At Conception Sailing, our culinary and beverage offerings are designed with inclusivity in mind—ensuring every guest feels welcomed, cared for, and able to fully enjoy their time aboard.

At Conception Sailing, the safety and comfort of our guests remain our highest priority. We continuously monitor weather conditions and maintain close awareness of all marine advisories. Should the United States Coast Guard issue a weather alert, or should our captain determine that conditions are not suitable for a safe departure, we will provide guests with the option to reschedule at no additional cost or receive a full refund.

Significant weather systems that may impact scheduled voyages can often be anticipated several days in advance; however, we recognize that conditions on the water can occasionally change unexpectedly. In these situations, our team will communicate proactively and keep you informed to minimize any disruption to your experience.

Our vessel is designed to provide comfort and protection from intermittent rain and moderate wind conditions, allowing guests to continue enjoying their journey in a variety of weather. Unless conditions present a safety concern, these elements alone will not result in cancellation.

Your experience with us is built around exceptional service, thoughtful preparation, and a commitment to safe and memorable moments on the water. 

We understand that plans may evolve, and we are happy to accommodate changes to your reservation at no additional cost when requested at least 72 hours prior to your scheduled experience.

Any itinerary modifications requested within 72 hours of your original departure time will incur a 15% itinerary change fee. This allows our team to make the necessary adjustments while maintaining the exceptional level of preparation and service that defines the Conception Sailing experience.

All purchases are considered final unless a cancellation is the direct result of a United States Coast Guard weather alert, a captain’s determination based on local conditions and professional judgment, or an unforeseen mechanical issue affecting the vessel.

Should any of these circumstances require cancellation, guests will be provided with the option to receive a full refund or reschedule their experience at no additional cost.
